Alumni Trio at Twilight

The Alumni Trio, made up of three Joyce Campbell-Lloyd Scholarship winners, will perform at the 2017 Twilight Series. These three highly accomplished members of music alumni will play together as part of the 25/50 University anniversary celebrations for 2017.

The trio consists of Matthew Henry (Cello), Maree Kilpatrick (piano), and Nicola Hayden (flute).

Join us in a family concert as Toowoomba Concert Orchestra and author, Peter Carnavas, bring his children’s book ‘The Great Expedition’ to life. As Peter reads his book the orchestra will skilfully weave their music throughout the story, including music from Indiana Jones and Batman.

TCO - Villa-Lobos Guitar Concerto

Guitarist Aleksandr Tsiboulski joins the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra to perform the Concerto for Guitar and small orchestra by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Be swept away to Brazil with an evocative performance from renowned and award winning Tsiboulski.

The program also features Borodin’s Petit Suite colourfully orchestrated by Glazonov and concludes with afternoon with Tsiboulski and the orchestra.

Fox and Fine Feathers / First Five Forever!

Join us in a family concert as Toowoomba Concert Orchestra and author, Narelle Oliver, brings her children’s book ‘Fox and Fine Feathers’ to life. As Narelle reads her book the orchestra will skilfully weave their music throughout the story.  

You will feel a part of this story about four Australian birds that live together and look out for each other as they try to stay away from fox. There will be a chance for the young children to get to know the instruments of an orchestra and join in all the fun.
